Systematic Theology III: The Church and Last Things
The third and final Systematic Theology course, covering Ecclesiology (the nature, government, ordinances, and mission of the church) and Eschatology (death, the intermediate state, the second coming, the millennium, final judgment, and the eternal state).

Syllabus
Overview
Systematic Theology III covers Ecclesiology (the church's nature, government, ordinances, and mission) and Eschatology (death, the intermediate state, the second coming, the millennium, final judgment, and the eternal state).
Reading Plan
Weeks 1-5: Ecclesiology (nature of the church, government and officers, baptism, the Lord's Supper, spiritual gifts and mission). Weeks 6-10: Eschatology (death and the intermediate state, the second coming, the millennium, final judgment, the eternal state).
Required Materials
A personal Bible in one of the following standard translations: ESV, NIV, NASB 1995, CSB, LSB, or NLT; a notebook or journal for reading notes and reflection.
Grading & Completion
Assessment focuses on engagement with Scripture and demonstration of comprehension. Students complete weekly reading assignments and a short weekly quiz covering that week's material. A final exam covering the entire course is available once every week has been passed.
Course Outcomes
- Upon completion, students will be able to articulate a biblical doctrine of the church, including its ordinances and mission
- Upon completion, students will be able to explain the major views of the millennium and last things
- Upon completion, students will be able to describe the biblical hope of final judgment and the eternal state
